HAN Hydromotive: Progressive hydrogen mobility
The HAN Hydromotive vehicle is designed to accelerate hydrogen technology and combines innovation with efficiency. Our Spectronik Protium-375 fuel cell converts hydrogen into electricity, which provides a maximum power of 450 Watts to the G1.X hub motor for a top speed of 40km/h. However, on average we only need 120-170 Watts during a race. The improved and even lighter aluminum chassis of 16 kg forms the basis to which the body, drivetrain and suspension are attached. Maximum efficiency is achieved by minimal resistance that we try to achieve with perfectly adjusted brakes and aligned wheels. The carbon epoxy resin body, made via vacuum injection, consists of removable parts for easy maintenance. This vehicle shows how hydrogen mobility can enable a sustainable future and with it we achieved second place in the 2024 Shell Eco-marathon with 277 km/m3.
