In 2026, no fewer than eight collision repair technicians and ten automotive refinishers competed in the Skills Heroes finals. In 2027, the Skills Heroes Collision Repair and Automotive Refinishing finals will once again take place during Auto Prof, right in the heart of the Collision Repair Area. It is a fantastic platform for showcasing young talent to a wider audience.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Participants in the Automotive Refinishing competition are challenged to demonstrate their vehicle refinishing skills in a real workshop environment.<\/em><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

As an automotive refinisher, you must first prepare the surface, apply primer and get the spray area ready. You must also choose the correct paint, mix the colour, apply the topcoat and process any remaining material. Just as importantly, you must carefully inspect the finished paintwork. The vehicles can range from simple compact petrol cars to luxury electric vehicles and high-end sports cars.<\/em><\/p>\n

You will work with modern materials and tools. During the competition, the judges will also assess whether you demonstrate sufficient responsibility and can work independently, as these are essential qualities in the workshop.<\/em><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Participants in the Collision Repair competition are challenged to demonstrate their collision repair skills in a real workshop environment.<\/em><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

As a collision repair technician, you must dismantle components, remove dents, create technical joints, prepare surfaces and reassemble parts. You must also be able to carry out digital diagnostics, read vehicle data and recalibrate the vehicle. The vehicles can range from simple compact petrol cars to luxury electric vehicles and high-end sports cars.<\/em><\/p>\n

You will work with modern materials and tools. During the competition, the judges will also assess whether you demonstrate sufficient responsibility and can work independently, as these are essential qualities in the workshop.<\/em><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
